It not only increases the chances of him cheating on you but it could (if not do that) put strain on your relationship. You need to go to marriage counseling and get to the bottom of the issues. Good Luck! References :

It won't make for a good marriage. Do you want to feel undesirable and unappreciated? Would that make you more likely to look to someone else? References :

What if you had a husband that didn't speak to you. He did everything else. He worked, was a good father, changed the oil and cleaned house but refused to talk to you. Would you have the desire to look for communication somewhere else? Why would sex be any different? References :

I think the guys of course will answer this one the best. Look at it from the other way around. We as wives want to know we are desirable and appreciated. Our husbands/boyfriends should get that same respect. Sex is an important part of a relationship, so if they aren't getting what they need at home, then yeah, most of them are gonna find it elsewhere. References :

If you're thinking of it as "giving it up" when it comes to sex with your husband, then he probably needs to just divorce you and get it over with. Wow..this SHOULD be a lovely way to be closer… not like the castle is being stormed and the princess is being ravished.
You people really need to get a clue about sex. References :

I'd say pretty damm good. If someone doesn't feel desired, wanted, and is starved of affection what would you expect. Withholding sex/affection makes a person vulnerable. They may not be looking and find themselves in a situation they cant handle. Remember sex is a primary need, like food and shelter. I try not to judge either persons in that situation, nor encourage or justify the behavior, BUT walking in those shoes is a very tough mile. References :

well all men are different, some men need alot and they are ok.
others can get it all day and its still not enough, they are just the type who needs more than one.. some men love sleeping with more than one woman, i guess it has something to do with variety.
but some just need alot,
try keeping his attention, satisfy him. References :

Cheating is not so much about a lack of sex as it is a lack of character, morals, and respect for yourself and your spouse. I have a cousin who habitually cheats on all of his lovers and spouses. He has been married four times and always had at least a couple of steady girlfriends during his marriages. He also maintains a real big porno collection and is not lacking any attention. Yet he cheats.
People who say it is because the wife doesn't put-out or whatever are just looking to shift the blame onto the innocent party in an attempt to justify their wrong behavior. I hope all is well with you and that 2009 sees you healthy, happy, loved and in love!

It depends on the man, don't let your husband make you think that he did it because you weren't giving it up enough or you weren't doing it for him. There is such a thing called "communication". When there is a problem in the bedroom, it is up to the unhappy party to talk about it and get the problem solved. If your husband kept going soft while you were doing it, would you feel undesired and therefore go get it from someone else, or would you talk about it, just in case there is some other issue involved, like stress, or disease? See what I'm getting at? Don't let him drag you down. He messed up. Don't let him turn it around and blame it on you. Let the best times of last year be the worst times of this year. Okay, girl? He is bringing you down, move on. References : Been there….
